Fianna Fáil TD for Cavan-Monaghan, Niamh Smyth, has met with the Minister for Rural & Community Development to advocate for County Cavan based projects which have been submitted for CLÁR funding.
She commented, “I met with Minister Ring this week to highlight the applications submitted by Cavan County Council to the Department of Rural & Community Development for CLÁR funding.
“Having met with the respective groups in the county I brought the stories behind their projects to the Minister. There are very worthy applications submitted through our Local Authority which should be given the strongest consideration from the Minister.
“Cavan Wheelchair Association, Ballynarry NS playing area, St. Felims NS playing area, and the project involving the alleyways in Drumbannon housing estate were all raised in my meeting with Minister Ring.
“It was a positive engagement with the Minister and I look forward to continuing to support these local projects as their applications progress,” she concluded.
