Cavan County Council is making a number of smoke alarms available to vulnerable older residents of the county. This initiative is funded by the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government.
Alarms are available for 250 households in Co. Cavan (a set of 2 households per household). Each set of two fire alarms cost approximately €30 but will be provided FREE OF CHARGE. Both alarms are fitted with a 10 year long-life battery.
